Congregation: Approximately 160 adults and 51 children.   Our doors and hearts are open to anyone wishing to get to know Jesus beter.  Many young people, who aren't part of the congregation are linking up with our Church

Proximity: Situated on the corner of Jacob Street and 10th Avenue, Gezina, Pretoria (physical address: 361 10th Avenue, Gezina, Pretoria)

Date of Origin: Church for the Deaf in Pretoria was started in July 1980..not sure of the date, but believe it was 6th of July

Website: Unfortuately we do not have a website at present, but are working on acquiring one.

Services are held by means of finger language.   Although the Reverend is not himself hearing-impaired, he is totally versed in the use and application of finger-language...the recognized language for the deaf and hearing impaired.  Praise and worship to the Lord is done without music.   The music lives in the hearts of the congregation and finds expression through their hand gestures.   Due to the fact that finger language is a visual language, body language forms an integeral part of the deaf culture, meaning that facial expressions as well body movement plays a huge roll in communications.  The congregation exuberantly celebrated their 30th birthday on the 18th of July, and all Praise and thanks goes to the Father, Saviour and Friend for 30 years of mercy and grace.
